The ‘Clea PR’ reunion in Goa this weekend wasn’t just another trip – it was a time capsule! Nearly 30 years later, we shared stories, laughter and a bond that has endured…

Somewhere between dinner at Calamari and a lovely sunset cruise, we found ourselves back in the 90s – a time when when media lists were faxed, press kits were hand-delivered, and coffee powered our Monday morning meetings.

Sangi, Sabi, Natty, Kenkre, Dinesh and so many others brought back a piece of that amazing energy, that chaos, that joy of building something before we even knew how to.

The conversations ran all day and way past midnight, as we reminisced about tracking media coverage, pulling all-nighters and learning to think on our feet because clients like Coke, Monsanto and Channel [V] demanded nothing less.

There was nostalgia in every story, along with a (not so) quiet pride in knowing that what we did back then mattered. And, almost three decades later, what struck so many of us was not how much has changed, but how much hasn’t.

We also missed friends who left us too soon, remembering Sanju, Monu, Sadhana and MRN, as their spirit continues to be with us.

Kudos to the organizing team for pulling this off. The fact that 26 of us came together from all over the world, after all these years, is quite a remarkable feat for any org or team!

The laughs came easily, the anecdotes flowed effortlessly, and for those few days in Goa, time really did stand still. I guess some connections outlast titles, companies and years. Here’s to friendships and memories that grow stronger with time…
