Good Intentions

Browsing through the local tabloid, I discovered an interesting article on how some well-known film and media personalities are taking to blogging.  Among them were a few names I have quite admired, so I looked it up on the Net and was left pleasantly surprised.

According to the official page :

The goal of www.Intentblog.com is to present original voices on and from Asia and India to inspire, stimulate and engage a dialogue about new paradigms of creativity, communication, and fulfillment. World renowned author, Deepak Chopra MD, and internationally acclaimed film maker, Shekhar Kapur, are the founders.

Noteworthy is the kind of things Shekhar Kapur is blogging about.  Here is the complete list, and a small sample :

I saw the most absurd photograph of the year in The Times of India. Linda Evangelista distributing free condoms in the slums of Mumbai. Please go somewhere else for your photo ops Linda. Condoms are freely available in India. They are just not used enough.  Yes aids is a huge problem. And of course we need funds. But people who really care, like Richard Gere, don’t strut around the streets asking the international press to click them…

Also noteworthy are some of Rahul Khanna’s posts…

I’m a firm believer in non-violence but I’m also aware that we all have limits we can be pushed to. I have often wondered… if driven to it, could I kill? Late last night I found out…

IntentBlog is an interesting read.
