Nobody’s Happy!

Here’s a link to another brilliant post from The Technium, this time on the subject of how much we take Technology and the comforts of our life, for granted:

“Everything is so amazing and nobody is happy.”

It is true. We take for granted the miracles we get from technology, and complain when the miracles aren’t perfect. This comedian’s routine on the Conan O’Brien show is funny, mocking our ingratitude. I post it here because the rant is a cartoon version of a more serious argument that we become blind to progress.

(It’s simply a video clip from one of O’Brien’s episodes, with comedian Louis C.K. as his guest.  This time, you can give the comments a miss and just watch the video)

Thanks for the reminder, Kevin!

For good measure, let me also add a link to something absolutely amazing that Technology helped create recently:

TED.com : Ed Ulbrich, the digital-effects guru from Digital Domain, explains the Oscar-winning technology that allowed his team to digitally create the older versions of Brad Pitt’s face for “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”.

When you have 18 minutes to spare, and a fast Net connection, this one’s a must-see.
