Fact of the Matter
I’ve been using mobile phones for nearly 8 years now. And, over the years, I have acquired a reputation for changing my mobile handset, ever so often. While some estimates peg that frequency at once every 3 months, my own estimate was closer to once in 7-8 months.
To see if that guestimate holds any water, I decided to try and list down all the handset models I’d used in that 96-month period. The exercise would prove to be more difficult than I’d imagined. But, a few google searches later, I came up with a pretty comprehensive list :
Nokia
3810, 5110, 7710, 3315, 3350, 3530, 3650, 6610i, 3230, 9300i
Sony Ericsson
T610, P800, W700i
Others
Treo 600, Samsung R200
Allowing for the possibility of a couple of misses, that makes it a total of about 17 different models. Which means, my average frequency of handset change is once every 6 months or so!
On a more positive note, every 6 months or so, I learn so much more about Technology !!!
