Pumpkin is 31 months old, now.  And, the pace at which her mind is developing, continues to amaze me!

Just the other day, she and her mom had the following conversation :

Pumpkin : Mama, please give me one more banana.

Mom : Another one?!
Pumpkin : Yes, please.

Mom : Are you a monkey?

Pumpkin : (After a pause…) Why?
Mom : Because only monkeys eat so many bananas?

Pumpkin : How many bananas?
Mom : Lots of bananas.

Pumpkin : Only bananas?
Mom : Yes.

Pumpkin : All day?
Mom : Yes.

Pumpkin : WOW !!!

Needless to say, Pumpkin simply l-o-v-e-s eating bananas, and was on her way to devour the fourth banana of the day.  She was most fascinated by the discovery that monkeys could eat bananas – only bananas – all day long!

Me?  I was simply amazed by her new-found grasp of the concept of space and time…
