Joy And Pride

Our daughter – Pumpkin – is almost two and half years old.  And, she is already making us proud.

Just last week, me and the wife had the pleasure of attending our first PTA meeting with her playschool teacher.  “Ma’am” (that’s what all her students call her) had only praises for our little one…

“She’s such a lovely child.  She’s so attentive and obedient.  She speaks so well.  Sometimes, I think she should be in the next level course, but let her learn in a relaxed manner…” 

And, these aren’t my words, but the teacher’s!  Here’s what her very first report card had to say.


(A+ = Excellent, A = Very Good, B+ = Good, B = Scope for Improvement)

Self Reliance

  • I take care of things  = A
  • I attend to my personal needs  = A
  • I meet people without shyness  = B+

Motor Skills

  • I like to draw  = A+
  • I can string beads  = B+
  • I can climb steps  = A

Work Habits

  • I work quietly  = B
  • I clean up after work and play  = A
  • I finish what I start  = A+

Social Development

  • I like to play with others  = B+
  • I join organized games  = A+

Courtesy

  • I listen while others speak  = B+
  • I accept and respect authority  = A

Language Development

  • I enjoy listening to stories  A+
  • My attention span is becoming longer  = A
  • I speak clearly  = A
  • I share my experiences with the class  = A

She’s not even reached kindergarten, and she’s already making us proud !
