Tidbits: January 2009
Morning Glory
It was a Saturday morning, and Pumpkin had decided that she simply must wake up early and go with Papa for his morning walk! Of course, Papa did most of the walking, while Pumpkin ran around in the grass and played on the swing. Once those critical tasks were behind us, Papa suggested that the both of them sit on a bench, in silence, and listen to the sounds of the birds for a bit. This is what happened next…
Pumpkin: Papa, do you know why birds have wings?!
Papa: No, tell me?Pumpkin: Sooooo, if the BAD man comes to hurt they birds, they can simply flap their wings and fly away!
Papa: Pumpkin, tell me, but how do the birds learn how to fly?
Pumpkin: That is a very difficult answer.(Thinks for a bit)
Pumpkin: I don’t have the answer to that.
(Pumpkin changes the topic, not wanting to end on a negative note, I suppose)
Pumpkin: Do you know who has made your face, your body, your hands?
Papa: Who has made them?Pumpkin: God!
Papa: Oh! And, who do you think made God, Pumpkin?Pumpkin: Simple… Santa Claus!
Pumpkin seems to have this fascination for birds, eh?!!
Hey, just stumbled upon the link to your book! Have downloaded it, and will read it at leisure. Is it available in Pune?
I’ve been collating my posts for a similar book, but now that you already have one out there, I think I’ll drop the idea. 🙂

Hey, Amit. Glad you got your hands on the e-book.
Distribution in bookstores is limited for now. Strand Book Stall in Mumbai has started stocking it, though. The book’s online page lists all the ways you can get a copy. I’ll be happy to arrange it for you if you’d like to order one (or a few?!)
And, don’t give up on that idea of getting your’s published. It will be a legacy for your children…
You have an awesome blog here. I enjoyed a few posts very much. Keep writing.
