Miracle in August

Pumpkin: Papa, do you know how many elves Santa has?
Me: No, tell me.

Pumpkin: Not just five… He has 20… 50… !!!
Me: Oh!

Pumpkin: And, do you know how many “kids” there are in this world?
Me: No, tell me.

Pumpkin: A “hundred” !!!
Pumpkin: That’s why Santa has so many elves… to help him deliver all the gifts!

So, now you know how it all works…

Growing Up

A few days ago, I asked Pumpkin to help me with something at the dining table.  She said she was feeling a bit tired, and didn’t do it. 

About half an hour later, when we were retiring for the day, I mentioned to her that I felt a little sad about the fact that she didn’t do the task I’d asked her to, at the dining table, a little while earlier.

She heard me out, and almost instantly, gave me a tight hug, and asked: “Are you feeling better now?”

How fast they grow up!

Pumpkin is all of four years and six months, at this time.
