{"id":553,"date":"2009-05-10T17:41:11","date_gmt":"2009-05-10T12:11:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/papabachwani.wordpress.com\/?p=553"},"modified":"2009-05-10T17:41:11","modified_gmt":"2009-05-10T12:11:11","slug":"tidbits-may-2009","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/naveen.bachwani.com\/beingdad\/2009\/05\/tidbits-may-2009\/","title":{"rendered":"Tidbits: May 2009"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>How Much Is Enough?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This transpired at home, on a lazy afternoon &#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Papa: Pumpkin, do you know how much I love you?<br \/>\nPumpkin: Tell me<\/p>\n<p>Papa: From here till Ghatkopar!\u00a0<br \/>\n<i>(Regular readers may recall how much that meant, once upon a time)<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Pumpkin: That&#8217;s nothing.<\/p>\n<p>Papa: Why?<br \/>\nPumpkin: I love you from here till North America <i>and<\/i> South America!!!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A few days after posting this, Pumpkin came up with yet another interpretation\u00a0:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;You know where Nikhil and Naomi stay?\u00a0 Where it snows?\u00a0<br \/>\nTill there, I love you!&#8221;\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>(Nikhil and Naomi are children of a good friend of mine, who lives in Sweden)\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\n<strong>Photographic Memories<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;d bought Pumpkin a toy camera that was actually a viewfinder with images stored within it.\u00a0 Each time you clicked the &#8220;shutter release&#8221;, it rotated a new picture in view, from one of the several Barbie pics &#8211; all Pumpkin&#8217;s favourite.<\/p>\n<p>For the first few days, Pumpkin was busy pretending to shoot photographs of her mommie and showing her how nicely the result had turned out.\u00a0 One day, I couldn&#8217;t resist asking her why she does not shoot any pics of me.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s what she said in reply&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I can&#8217;t do that, Papa.\u00a0 You need to bring me a &#8220;Ben10&#8221; camera for that.\u00a0 Otherwise, all your photos will become girlie photos that look like Barbie!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Pumpkin is all of five and a half years old, at this time&#8230;<\/i><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How Much Is Enough?
